Welcome to the Mini-Blog!
I am going to be writing in a slightly different format this year (narrating photo sessions) which will hopefully prove to be easier and therefore I'll do more entries!

Pirate had only ever lived with Silver before. As a stallion, he was a very obsessive, controlling horse. Poor Silver was never allowed to put a hoof out of line, so he is really enjoying his new life away from Pirate.
-
Now that he is gelded, it is time for Pirate to learn new behaviours and make some actual friends.
-
He has been turned out with other Minis for the first time this week and is doing pretty good. There are two others, so that he cannot fixate and try to control just one of them.
-
Pirate just needs time to get out of his old habits and learn to relax and enjoy life. It is so very important to geld stallions, they really get so much more out of life when they are not driven by hormones to behave in certain ways.

Saturn has arrived!
-
Saturn is a tiny little bay, turning 4 this year.

Saturn's hooves had possibly never been trimmed in his entire life. They splayed badly to the inside, which caused damage to the outer white line. The hoof wall was trimmed away to reveal the hole. Now, it can breathe, heal and grow down - good as new. The other front hoof is luckily not nearly as bad as this one.

Pirate is doing very well fostering at Deb's. He has got some figuring out to do still, but he is looking fabulous!
-
Pirate is shedding out very light for the summer - he is going to be very striking!

Jet is still living it up, being goofy as ever. I think back to the emaciated, weak horse that arrived here after living on the end of a rope and it makes me so happy to see him playing!
