Jupiter came to us weighing 320 pounds. He was about 100 pounds overweight!
We guessed by his coat condition and physical appearance that he was likely locked in a stall for at least half a year, and likely far longer.
Though much improved (now months later) he likely has permanent hind-end damage due to lack of exercise and carrying all of that extra weight.
He continues to make improvements though, and moves much better these days.
He is excellent with people and tolerates kids very well.
One of our volunteers fell in love with Jupiter and has adopted him!
So, his home is now where he has been comfortable for many months already! We are pleased to have Jupiter hanging around so that we can monitor his long-term recovery first-hand.
Jupiter has done it! He is now slim and trim at an amazing 225 pounds! He has reached his ideal weight and lost 95 pounds! He has moved a few doors down to keep a lonely Mini company and he loves his new home!
